Meal Coordinator Position

What You’ll Do

Meal Coordinator is responsible for supervising the dietary and kitchen functions for the Home. Meal Coordinators will promote and maintain the philosophy of assisted living through the following:

  • Being responsible for planning, preparing, and serving quality meals that meet the standards and expectations of the older adult population within Sienna Crest Assisted Living, Inc. 

  • Follow the Sienna Crest menu program established to meet the dietary needs of residents.  (Sugar free / low salt / low fat / etc.)

  • Weekly review of current food inventory and prepare weekly food orders and place with appropriate food vendors. Purchase necessary food items, not covered under ordered products, from local food vendor

  • Ensure the proper handling and utilization of all foods to prevent contamination.   Prepare all food according to the “approved” menu in a safe and sanitary manner.


What You’ll Need

To become a Meal Coordinator, you will need:

  • Possess a genuine fondness for older adults. 

  • Experience in preparation of food for groups with special dietary requirements.

  • Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, stand for up to 8 hours, bend, reach and stoop.
